Al Adamson
(1929-1995) was an American filmmaker. He wrote, directed, and produced several films from the 1960s to the early 1980s. He specialized in horror and exploitation films. Despite the sensationalist nature of his films, Adamson was reportedly restrained in his personal life. He rarely drank alcohol and did not smoke or engage in recreational drug use or casual sex.

He was married to Regina Carrol, who appeared in many of his movies. She passed away in 1992 and Adamson did not remarry.

Adamson was murdered in 1995 by a contractor with whom he had a dispute. His killer was convicted and sentenced to a prison term of 25 years to life.
